Ex Tamarind Michelin starred chef Alfred Prasad has been offering his expertise at Supper Clubs at Kew Gardens

Mridula Baljekar (seen here with Rick Stein at the Guild of Food Writers Awards)scooped another prestigious award this year at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in Yantai, the wine capital of China. She was awarded 'Best in the World' for her manuscript 'Spice of Life'. It was awarded a Special Award of the International Jury in Madrid in December 2014 and hence qualified to enter the Best in the World Awards. This book contains the history of the spice trade and focuses on the health benefits of spices with recipes on superfoods.

This year 205 countries entered and 92 countries were shortlisted. Mridula won for the UK, making it her third Best in the World Award. 'It was my dream to win three Best in the World' and I am so grateful to the Edouard Cointreau and the Gourmand juries for making my dream come true!'
